A society based on gerontocracy is bound to be respected more likely than its monarchical counterparts, less of an argument but critic, though. In the course of rulership, even if uncentralized, people are immune to its said obligation and conduct, and all seems communal.

However, I think they may be fusion of power because a policy usually to satisfy an elder's hallucination may be brought up. This is where politics come into play. In my lecturer's voice, politics is so inherent in humans that with politics, there is always humankind. This struggle or fight for power among classes, esp the bourgeoisie and the common man of little means.
.
But who cares? So far, it is geared to satisfying selfish aims. Even if centralized, I still think that without corruption, a society cannot exist.
