People ask: I think I'm racist does that make me a bad person?
Being a racist is much like judging a book by its cover, except a thousand times worse since it's real people with feelings that you are judging, purely based on outward appearances. If you are simply having racist thoughts, you may be foolish, but not necessarily a bad person. If you put your racism into action by discriminating against others, by taking away people's rights and opportunities, or even simply hurting another person's feelings with ignorance, then you certainly qualify as being a bad person in Didi's mind. Recognizing the problem is the first step. Learn more about people who are different from you from reliable sources!
